The memorial stands to honour the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, who is also known in the country as the 'Father of Development'. The building was initially the Sri Taman Building, the official residence for Tun Abdul Razak since 1962 until he passed away in January 1976.
Found here are displays of personal effects belonging or related to him as well as pictures from his fascinating life. Showcasing Tun Abdul Razak's contribution the country, a model of a pre-fabricated FELDA (Federal Land Development Authority) house provided to low income families under their settlement scheme is parked outside of the building.
