9 May 2017:Sunway’s goal to be 100% smoke-free by 2018 is well on its way with the launch of its latest project. As part of the quest to make Sunway City the first sustainable, smoke-free city in Malaysia, Sunway REIT has launched Clean Air – A Smoke Free Environment Project. The campaign, introduced at Sunway Pyramid, calls for a complete halt to smoking, advocating for a healthier lifestyle, and runs from 8 May 2017 to 30 June 2018. Three internationally renowned local artists – Kenji Chai, Caryn Koh, and Louise Low – were engaged by the property giant to help produce large scale murals to create public awareness on smoking hazards. These murals can be seen around the exterior walls of Sunway Pyramid. As part of the campaign, Sunway REIT is also running a Smoking Cessation Programme sponsored by Sunday Medical Centre. Those who join the programme will receive personalised one-on-one behavioural counselling and products to help kick the habit. The pilot run of the programme is open to 250 participants. Further to this, the public are also invited to make pledges to the project via www.sunwaycleanairproject.com – the first 400 pledgers will receive 500 Sunway Pals points. Sunway REIT will be conducting various activities for the public at LG 2 Orange Avenue, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall from 8-14 May. Drop in for a complimentary consultation on the programme and smokerlyzer tests from 11.30am-3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. The gallery was not found!
