15 September 2017:Sungei Wang Plaza celebrates its 40th anniversary and the Mid-Autumn Festival with a blast from the past
Sungei Wang Plaza recently launched its Lantern Fun Park which is set to take visitors back to the 1970s when BB Park was a hub of entertainment complete with stages, fairs and glamour shows. In line with this, the Centre Court of the mall will feature a two-level theatre with a giant ferris wheel where performances and activities over the period will take place.
At the launch, guests were treated to an excerpt from the Sungei Wang Lantern Fun Park Mid-Autumn Musical happening on 16, 17, 22 and 23 September.
“We wanted to showcase the glitz and glamour as well as reminisce the glorious BB Park, which was the identity of this area before Sungei Wang was built. The story of this place and era will be told via the [musical],” said Sungei Wang Complex Manager Yuen May Chee.
