As a first time member of MIGF, Restaurant Manager Julianus Gintang was excited at the prospect of hosting 34 guests at Thai cuisine Celadon: “It’s just wonderful to meet so many new people!”
The gathered guests were certainly made to feel welcome and included HE Maria Isabel Rendon, Ambassador of Argentina; Dato’ Tan Boon Pun and his wife Datin Lee Min Yee; YBhg Dato’ Michael CH Wong, Dato’ Shamsul Falak and Dato’ Dr Amarjit Singh Gill.
The menu opened with a deep red Thai fish cake, followed by a tangy Pomelo Salad – a firm favourite of Madam Mae SK Ho: “It was just so refreshing!” Everyone was then swiftly served the Tom Yam Seafood Soup, which Mr Gintang proudly declared as “The most authentic Tom Yam you will find!”
The main courses included a Green Curry with Salted Fish, Golden River Prawns simmered with Garlic and Pepper, and Stir Fried Broccoli with Fresh Scallop and Garlic Sauce.
As the dessert of Iced Water Chestnut in Coconut Milk arrived, conversation flowed as both new and old acquaintances enjoyed their wine and remarked on the quality of the food and the impressive service from the restaurant team.
As the evening ended, and the guests filterd quietly out, smiling Celadon staff presented them with delicately wrapped gifts to remind of a special evening.
