Malaysia Airports have announced their new intuitive to promote Malaysian labels and entrepreneurs. Called #ProudlyMalaysian, the airport operator hope to leverage their strategic position to allow Malaysian brands a chance to showcase their products to an international audience.
“Airports are the first and last destination for visitors and Malaysians coming in and leaving the country. As the gatekeeper of these entry and exit points, Malaysia Airports is well-positioned to champion all things Malaysian,” said Malaysia Airports Senior General Manager of Commercial Services, Mohammad Nazli Abdul Aziz.
“Within KLIA and klia2, we have a variety of brands and outlets that are Malaysian or Malaysian-owned. Some are established names locally or internationally. But let us not forget those up-and-coming talents who also create fabulous and uniquely Malaysian products. It is our objective to give these deserving names the recognition they deserve,” she added.
Under the #ProudlyMalaysian campaign, Malaysian entrepreneurs will have the chance to promote their products in the international settings of the airports.
Malaysian retailers will also be encouraged to offer specially-packaged #ProudlyMalaysian products at their outlets to be identified with ease by potential buyers.
To celebrate the launch, Malaysia Airports has also initiated an online contest, where participants can upload pictures at the #ProudlyMalaysian photo booths at KLIA and klia2, in order to win discounted e-vouchers and customised campaign prizes. Malaysia Airports will also be giving away 59 cash vouchers worth RM59 each to 59 lucky shoppers on September 16, 2016.
