5 July 2018: MIRF focuses on digitalization this year with a revenue target of 70 million
The Malaysia Retail Chain Association has announced the next edition of the Malaysia Retail & Franchise (MIRF) exhibition which shifts venues from Mid Valley to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre this year.
Set to take place from 26-28 July, MIRF is set to draw some 25,000 visitors from 10 countries and will also see a 20% increase in exhibitors, making it the largest retail and franchise expo in Malaysia.
With the theme ‘Platform for Growth’, MIRF2018 will also act as a catalyst for local and international exhibitors to network and explore business matching opportunities.
Centred around digitalization, the exhibition will also highlight innovative technologies as a means of transaction including artificial intelligence, e-wallet payment and machine learning. These have helped to bridge the gap between business and technology, revolutionising brick-and-mortar business and the ecommerce industry as a whole.
“We are venturing into digitalization this year as it goes hand-in-hand with the current purchasing trend from consumers. We are blessed to be witnessing the evolution of technology by utilising various functionalities and I am positive that the platform we are creating will ensure positive growth to the industry,” said MIRF Organising Chairman Raymond Woo at the launch recently.
