What do you get when you combine romantic jazz and upbeat pop with a touch of dreamy blue-eyed soul, all wrapped up in a package of handsome Canadian features and silky smooth vocals? Four-time Grammy Award winning singing sensation Michael Bublé, that’s what!
Last seen in Asia in 2011 for his Crazy Love Tour, 2015 will see the Sway hitmaker make a long-awaited return to KL for a one-night only gig to promote his fourth album – To Be Loved, which became Bublé’s fourth consecutive number one album on the Billboard 200 charts.
Come Dance With Me
“I want to take you on a wonderful journey about love – all different kinds of love,” Bublé said of his new album. “I felt a new sense of freedom to create and kind of take things further.”
Besides the four songs written by the crooner, including hit singles It’s A Beautiful Day and Close Your Eyes, the record also contains covers of well-loved classics that have inspired Bublé’s music over the years, including To Love Somebody by the Bee Gees, Who’s Lovin’ You by the Jackson 5 and title song To Be Loved originally by ‘Mr. Excitement’ Jackie Wilson.
A variety of artists and actors have made appearances on the album, including Reese Witherspoon on the Nancy and Frank Sinatra classic Something Stupid and the close harmony vocal trio of The Puppini Sisters on the Nevertheless track, which Bublé described as being ‘one of the most beautiful songs on the record’.
Mixing smooth love ballads with energetic pop-inspired pieces, fans of Bublé’s cheeky charm and honeyed vocals will be delighted by both in equal measure as he descends upon the Putra Indoor Stadium on 27 January 2015, accompanied by American a cappella group Naturally 7 – who also feature in the album on Bublé’s cover of the Scotty Wiseman track Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?
With his London shows selling out in just five minutes and earning rave reviews from critics and fans alike, this one-night performance is not to be missed as the debonair singer brings new meaning to the phrase ‘love is in the air’.
Trust us – you won’t want to go Home when Bublé sings A Song For You as you’ll be screaming ‘I Want You Back’ by the end of the night!
