Head Chinese Chef Cheong Chee Seng has created a Lunar New Year menu with a few modern twists for the all-important New Year’s Eve reunion dinner. The culinary team has also designed a special buffet feast with ten sections including appetisers and salad, Yee Sang counter, soup, hot spot, pasta and noodles, pizza of the day, dim sum, Japanese favourites, hot dishes and desserts. The appetisers and salad feature such delights as minced chicken with Thai dressing salad, chicken barbeque platter, and oyster and green mussels on ice. This is followed by the double boiled chicken soup and hot and sour Szechuan soup at the soup counter. A Mongolian barbeque option and home-made meatloaf are what diners will find at the hot spot and carving station. Asian inspired dishes are available at the Western Counter include Peking duck pizza and Asian seafood buttered spaghetti, while Chef Cheong recommends you don’t leave the buffet without trying the signature dishes of black pepper beef and teo chew braised duck.
