13 July 2017:Limkokwing University blends local and foreign cultures with stunning collections Limkokwing University of Creative Technology amazed the crowd with their first ever Raya collection at the Borneo Fashion Week 2017 in Kuching, Sarawak.

During the shows from 7 to 9 July, the university’s fashion label, Limkokwing Fashion Club showcased a flawless mix of Malaysian cultures in their Malaysian Soul collection, embedding patterns of Malay, Chinese and Indian religious architecture symbols. The collection has received huge support from renowned public figures Erra Fazira, Sazzy Falak and the university’s alumni and leading Indonesian actress, Acha Septriasa. Giving recognition to the Sarawak culture, the university also incorporated Sarawak cultural elements by combining them with looks from the London Fashion Week. Labelled as “one of the world’s most international universities”, Limkokwing University continued to wow the audience with Asian and African cultural pieces that they first unveiled to the public at the 2017 London Fashion Week. The university was invited recently as the only Asian University to showcase their collection at the London Fashion Week this year. To produce more creative young minds around the world, Limkokwing University has expanded their fashion programme to Nepal, Sri Lanka, China and the United Kingdom.
