We’ve got something for everyone this month from infectious pop tunes and K-pop jams to a full-blown rock festival featuring the best in the local Malaysian music scene.
This eclectic group of girls definitely have spirit! Set up during the eighth series of British reality show The X Factor, Little Mix went on to become the first group ever to win the show. They also broke records for being the first British girl group since the Spice Girls to break into the US Top 5 chart with their first album – in their case, the wildly successful DNA.
Now with the release of their third album Get Weird, also their highest charting record to date, the girls are gearing up for yet another world tour, bringing their brand of sassy power-pop to eager fans here in Malaysia.
As one of the biggest stars in K-pop, Rain needs little introduction. Having been in the industry since the early 2000s, Rain is a seasoned singer and talented performer, who can mesmerise an entire stadium with his smooth dance moves.
Making his comeback after five years, the Squall Tour is his first world tour since completing military service in Korea. Known as much for his charisma and boyish good looks as he is for his electrifying dance music, his concerts are always energetic and full of surprises – a sure-fire hit with both men and women.
The seventh and final series of the popular local Rockomania festival is set to be the biggest yet. Featuring the best of the local rock music scene, the event is set to make history for independent acts all over the nation in an epic head-banging throwdown.
Headlining the festival are indie rock band Hujan, thrash metal band Cromok, heavy metal group Sil Khannaz and underground grunge ensemble Butterfingers. The other 17 supporting acts include Sekumpulan Orang Gila, Green Love, Madhouse, Nervedeless, Second Combat, Battleground and Bloody Mary.
