21 July 2017:Enhancing the Malaysian travel industry since 1998
The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has served as the nation’s premier gateway hub for the past 19 years and has in that become a national icon.
To commemorate its 19th anniversary, KILA recently hosted a reception that celebrated the contributions of staff and passengers. Additionally, the KLIA Immigration Department was acknowledged by Malaysia Airports Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, for its achievement as the World’s Best Airport for Immigration Services 2017 awarded by Skytrax.
Each year, the hub continues to grow and flourish, while upgrading its services due to the hard work and dedication of the airport community.
KLIA saw great success this past year, with 15.8% overall growth in passenger traffic movements as of June 2017. With that in mind, Malaysia Airports intends to continue improving the airport experience, providing KLIA visitors with an enjoyable arrival and departure.
In line with this, Malaysia Airports launched KUL VIP Access at the start of this year, a premium service allowing travellers options to fast track the check-in, immigration, customs, and transportation process. Furthermore, the airport plans to unroll further works and initiatives in the near future that will provide world class services and facilities.
From bathroom overhauls and the opening of additional Muslim prayer rooms, to the new KLIA-kila2 Terminal Transfer shuttle bus service, stay tuned for announcements!
