JIS Kuala Lumpur, the first international outlet of the renowned social lounge in Japan, has launched a drink delivery platform called Cheers2Cheers in Malaysia. For curious minds, JIS stands for “Jinseini Irodoriwo Soeru”, which means “Adding Colour to Life”.
With this platform, Malaysians who prefer to drink at home with friends and family, and those who rather wait for the pandemic problem to completely disappear, can benefit from over 1,000 bottle brands of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink variety delivered right to their doorstep. They can also get hand-crafted cocktails and more by the lounge’s resident mixologist!
The Cheers2Cheers’ official Cocktail Heist and Mocktail Heist trademarked collections contain a range of posh cocktails and mocktails. These creations are inspired by iconic cities around the globe, which is reflected in their names.

The Tokyo Mocktail brims with citrusy flavours of Monin yuzu puree, while the Kuala Lumpur Cocktail features a mix of native tastes, achieved through a blend of Kahlua, coconut cream, Monin pandan syrup, and fresh milk. Other items on these menus include drinks that pay homage to Berlin, Rio, and Denver.

Sweetening the experience, quite literally, are Cheers2Cheers’ alcohol-infused cakes, such as the Martell VSOP Caramel Cake, which sports an indulgent caramel flavour that is balanced with the robust taste of the cognac.

The Bailey’s Coffee Cake, Johnny Walker Whisky Charcoal Pecan Cake, Red Wine Cake, Burnt Cheesecake, Bacardi Raisin Rum Cake, and Matcha Sake Cake are also available for cocktail pairings.

To set the mood once the drinks and/or cakes arrive, users can head over to the website and choose from several mood-curated playlists that would complement their drinking experience. As an example, the celebration mood option points drinkers towards cheery cocktails such as Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, and Sangria.
“We created Cheers2Cheers to give Malaysians a safe alternative avenue for socialising and enjoying drinks with their friends and loved ones. Despite continued strict social distancing practices, we aim to provide Malaysians with an enjoyable and memorable virtual drinking experience as they eagerly await being able to socialise in-person again,” said the Cheers2Cheers management team.
For those who don’t mind venturing out, Cheers2Cheers will be partnering with Martell to host Grapes Meet Cocoa, a drink-and-chocolate pairing session on 31 July 2020 at JIS Bar Kuala Lumpur. The event will be helmed by Chocolate Concierge founder Ning, and Martell brand ambassador Jean-Baptiste Gourvil, and will focus on the combinations of specially curated chocolate with a range of wines and cognac. Tickets can be purchased here.
