Situated in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, G13 Gallery is one of the numerous art galleries in and around the capital that offer up eye-pleasing and mind-stimulating exhibitions all year round.
This month, G13 presents Go Block, a group exhibition featuring five practitioners in the printmaking business!
According to the gallery, the exhibition focuses on a concept that departs from the conventional way of printmaking, exploring innovative takes on printmaking art and seeing how far these implementations can evolve.
The five alternative printmakers whose works are on display are Juhari Said, Shahrul Jamili, Samsudin Wahab, Faizal Suhif and Tisna Sanjaya. Each brings their on one-of-a-kind style to the gallery, inviting visitors to step into their respective vantage points with every canvas.
“Go Block is more than just a movement – it is an idea that is fluid in terms of its movement and dynamism of its practice. Go Block was created several years ago and it aims to stay relevant and impactful for a long time to come,” G13 describes.
In essence, the gallery elaborates, the exhibition is a collective movement of several alternative printmakers who endeavour to further the discipline to new heights.
Viewing by appointment only from 11am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday throughout the exhibition period of 10 to 28 November 2020.
