19 June 2017:Malaysia Airports Welcomes New Airline
Lion Air Group Airlines have launched their fully serviced airline Batik Air at KLIA. Travellers will love the newly implemented route to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from Kuala Lumpur, which operates once daily.
The flight departs at 14:35 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) from Indonesia, and returns from Kuala Lumpur at 19:20 local time.
“This is a form of additional service to our customers who want to travel on international routes to Kuala Lumpur, we hope that with this new destination can provide a variety of choices. This route is also the beginning of the opening plan to several other countries by Batik Air such as Perth, Australia and also India from Denpasar “, said Lion Air Group Public Relations Manager, Andy M. Saladin.
Batik Air is also looking to fly from Denpasar to Chennai, India, via Kuala Lumpur. This is Lion Air Group’s initiative for the Ministry of Tourism program to attract more foreign tourists. Tourists from Chennai and from Kuala Lumpur will be able to continue their flights to cities in Indonesia using Batik Air, and other Lion Air Group airlines such as Lion Air and Wings Air.
Until now, Batik Air has flown to more than 35 domestic destinations, including international flights to Singapore. Since November 2016, the airline has also been successfully registered in the highest level of international safety and security management audit IOSA, meaning it could possibly open a route to fly to Europe in the near future.
