Those who have always dreamed of journeying to the idyllic travel destination of Greece will finally have their wish come true when Scoot launches their first long-haul flight to Athens on 20 June 2017.
Budget-conscious travellers in Malaysia will soon be able to fly to Greece at amazing rates from four cities – Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang – via Tigerair to Singapore and then onward on Scoot, to immerse in the rich history and culture Athens has to offer. From Athens, travellers can also connect onward from Greece to other alluring cities in Europe for an extended pan-Europe vacation.
Scoot-Tigerair Chief Commercial Officer Leslie Thng shares Scoot’s exciting offerings and proposition for the Malaysian market
“Guests have requested us to fly to Europe for a while, and Scoot is excited to finally oblige! Scoot has devoted much thought to configuring our cabin products and services to elevate and transform the low-cost travel experience, enabled by our world-first all-787 Dreamliner fleet, and this has positioned us well to mount our first ever long-haul flight between Asia Pacific and Europe,” Budget Aviation Holdings CEO Lee Lik Hsin said.
In honour of the news, Scoot is offering special rates on one-way and round-trip flights to Greece, starting from RM999 and RM1998 respectively (inclusive of taxes). Promotion runs until 31 August 2016 for travel between 20 June and 31 October 2017.
The commencement of Scoot’s services to Europe is part of the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group’s strategic move to stimulate passenger traffic between Asia Pacific and Europe, as well as to boost connectivity through the Singapore hub.
