Situated in an urban neighourbood in Subang Jaya, Da Men USJ is a mall that has the community at heart. Reflecting this, it has recently launched the ‘A Taste of Malaysia’, a fair championing Malaysian products that boasts a variety of local favourites, from foodstuff to handicrafts.
Currently ongoing until 31 Dec 2020, the fair takes place on the fourth floor of the mall, featuring a concise yet packed layout of stalls that makes it easy for shoppers to peruse for items. Fancy a jar of keropok (local crackers), or a handmade tudung saji (food cover)? Perhaps some Nyonya products from Melaka, or souvenirs for loved ones? Everything is within a few steps of each other, laid out neatly at respective stalls. Once you’re happy with the haul in your basket, simply head to the dedicated payment counter to ring it all up.
The launch of ‘A Taste of Malaysia’ was held in conjunction with the launch of the ‘Domestic Tour Package’ initiative, helmed by Tourism Selangor to invigorate the local economy via domestic tourism. Essentially these efforts are in tandem with the Mega Familiarisation Tour organised by Tourism Selangor and Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association (MITA).
