29 May 2017 It was a special day for a group of orphan children!
In line with their CSR initiative, Dorsett Putrajaya provided a day of happiness for the children of their adopted orphanage on 29 May. These 34 youngsters from Rumah Nur Hikmah in Kajang, Selangor, were brought to the hotel and treated to Ramadhan delights and fun activities.
Among the chief highlights of the event was the hotel’s latest Ramadhan menu comprising a whopping 500 dishes, including barbecued venison and a delicious durian buffet. The children were among the first ones to sample this delicious spread, while listening the voice of songbird Isma and her band, Sri Mawar.
Prior to that, the kids were serenaded by the winners of the Dorsett Idol, the highly talented associates from Dorsett Putrajaya, who filled the air with their melodious voices and upbeat tunes.
Thanks to the hotel and generous sponsors, the children, who range in age from 18 months to 18 years old experienced a series of exciting activities beforehand. They were given the opportunity to ride in a hot air balloon, shop for Raya new year apparel and mini ‘sejadah’ and even pet adorable animals.
That was not all, as more goodies were placed in the little hands! Besides receiving ‘duit raya’, they also were also given educational toys, stationery, books and delicious treats to enjoy throughout the holy month of Ramadhan. To their happy surprise, the gifts were presented by the Mamee Monster Biskidz and Mister Potato, giving the children a night to remember.
The sponsors who came together for the #bismillah Ramadan CSR Programme are Dorsett Putrajaya, the neighbouring attraction Sky Ride Putrajaya, transporter Pearly Shell, online clothes boutique Zayyan.Co, the wonderful Mamee Sdn Bhd, Tectic Blocks – the next hot blocks after Lego, Suria Putrajaya Mall’s tenants – Le Glamouriz Collections Boutique, Primadonna Boutique and Pets Wonderland.
