A thunderous 10-lion dance performance opened proceedings, before couples took to the stage in the main atrium ‘Dream Garden’ to publicly declare their love for one another, all in the romantic spirit of Chap Goh Meh. Providing an abundance of good wishes and blooming love, the Dream Garden is elaborately decorated with 8,888 petals that cascade from the ceiling, a feature that was recently certified as the ‘Most number of hanging fabric flower petals’ in The Malaysia Book of Records. A joyous lou san tossing ceremony at the main entrance fostered a sense of unity and harmony among all those taking part, and the event then capped off with the traditional orange tossing tradition, whereby single women hope to find their partner in love. Tied with a written wish and their details, oranges were thrown into the Dream Garden of Prosperity! This year Pavilion KL celebrates its 10th anniversary with the Visit Pavilion 2018 showcase, which will include a host of new experiences, indulgences, rewards and plenty more for shoppers.
