This February brings a rare opportunity to catch an immersive concert featuring ‘The Fab Four’ – whose ticket sales benefit the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah!
Having been around for the better part of 30 years, BeatleMania has convincingly earned renown as a prominent tribute band in the image of the spectacular one John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr created in 1960.
Particularly famous on UK soil, where it was formed in 1992, the band has collaborated with some top performers, among them The Merseybeats, The Searches, The Bay City Rollers, Boy George, Blue, Snow Patrol, Coldplay and Girls Aloud. It has also had a number of A-list clients, including the Beckhams, Sir Richard Branson, Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Tiger Woods, Wayne Rooney and Gordon Ramsay.
Naturally, BeatleMania’s popularity has led to them performing in Europe, The USA, The Middle East and Asia among other regions. Their increasing number of fans just can’t get enough of how much of the original four they see in Michael Gagliano, David Peterson, Richard Petch and Joey Montague, who portray John, Paul, George and Ringo respectively with aplomb.
A BeatleMania concert is an elaborate one, with every effort taken to ensure that it’s as close as you can get to seeing The Beatles in a live performance today – the attention to detail is obvious in everything from the music and singing to the costumes and pageantry!
From Me To You
Happily for devotees of the Fab Four in town, BeatleMania is headed this way for two concert nights in aid of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) and Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah (YSB). Spanning two hours with an interval, each show is split into four acts that represent defining time periods for The Beatles, replete with costume changes for the full effect.
The first act, Early Years (62-65), will showcase such hits as From Me To You and I Feel Fine. The second, America And World Domination (65-66), will see numbers that include Yellow Submarine and Paperback Writer. The third act, Sgt Pepper And The Summer Of Love (67), features songs such as Sgt Pepper and All You Need Is Love. The final act, Abbey Road And The End (67-70), presents Back In The USSR, Twist And Shout, and more.
If that isn’t enough of an incentive to catch this Visit Malaysia 2020-sanctioned event, revenue collected from the ticket sales will go directly into funding ongoing humanitarian efforts conducted by both MRCS and YSB!
