For its second edition, Artbox Malaysia took inspiration from nostalgic childhood games like Tetris and Jenga – bringing them to life with stacked containers and classic bright colours crafted by Feedbeng.
The creative market that took place three nights in a row for the past two weekends from 6-8 September and 13-15 September saw over 300 pop-up booths consisting of food, beverages and items from overseas and local brands, including Singapore.
Highlights of food and beverages found at the event includes La Cremeria with its collaborated Tiger Sugar ice cream, Saychizu with its rainbow cheese toast, Icedea alongside its Artbox Malaysia special edition logo ice cream and more.
But there were more than just pop-up stalls as visitors took Instagram-worthy pictures with art installations like the Jenga See-Saw, Sunway Infinity Room, and the La Cremeria Oasis.
Other interactive platforms included the Foodpanda Chill Zone where merchandise was won through an interactive food delivery bicycle game and free food could be caught through parachutes at the food tower.
Malaysians also stood a chance to win exclusive JD Sports and Adidas prizes through a live-sized LED screen of JD King of Trainers: The Game and purchase exclusive ‘Artbox X PMC’ merchandise from Pestle & Mortar.
As for entertainment, creative market enthusiasts were serenaded with live music performances from Maha Jefferey, Ili Ruzanna, Rufus, SHN, Hello Luqman and Sam Lopez of Lost Spaces as they relaxed on hammocks under fairy lights.
