Lavish golden curtains hanging from the ceiling, plush golden carpets cushioning each step, with golden table settings accompanied by friendly waiters also dressed in gold: It’s an atmosphere fit for royalty!
As the guests started slowly trickling in for the MIGF Dine – Around dinner, serving staff decked in traditional Malay outfits made their way around the restaurant serving light refreshments. The night started off with Dato’ Steve Day introducing Chef Khairul and his team to the guests before also introducing the gathered group of guests that included Tunku Yahaya bin Tunku Abdullah, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad, Datuk Peter Wentworth OBE and many more.
The special seven-course meal was an interesting culinary journey. The favourites for the night were the Amuse Bouche, which included an East Meets West Chilli Stuffing with Light Cauliflower Shooter, as well as the Oxtail Soup. “I really liked the cauliflower shooter, it was very interesting and had a really unique taste,” says Patrick Teoh. “The oxtail soup stood out for me. It was very satisfying and nicely done,” remarked Dato’ Dr. Salim Cassim.
“The food was delicious, the company was excellent and I hope to see all of you back here again,” beamed Dato’ Steve.
