Unity Through Craft At KLICF 2017

If you have a thing for intricate workmanship and the design of crafts, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the Kuala Lumpur International Craft Festival (KLICF) 2017!  Following its two successful installments in 2015 and 2016, the KLICF is back again to unite art practitioners from all around the world.

More than 33 countries will be offering delicate creations that are not only visually intriguing but also reflect their respective cultures and identities. From handmade accessories with precious beading to home deco with the finest embroidery from these different countries, you will return home with one or more of those masterpieces that are simply irresistible.

Other than the craft market, the four-day craft extravaganza is celebrating the wonders of culture with traditional dance performances, craft demonstrations and a craft exhibition which involves local and international online entrepreneurs.

Catch performances that showcase traditional dances from Mexico, Hugary, Argentina and Vietnam. You can also learn more about local culture at the joget and zapin, gamelan music and Mah Meri tribal group dance performances. Keep an eye out for the presentation of the longest crochet in Malaysia and live art presentations throughout the festival. Don’t forget to bring your family along for the family craft competition as well.
