Another centrally located park, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa or Lake Titiwangsa not only offers picture-perfect views over KL’s skyline, but also multiple trail options for superb runs.
The main trail around the lake is 2.5km long but you can vary this by taking numerous detours that branch off from the main track and that present plenty of twists, turns and inclines. Exercise stations are scattered around the grounds so you can mix-up your run with a bit of cross-training.
If you plan to go in the morning, take note that the park can become quite congested from 8am onwards, especially during the weekends. This green gem in the middle of the city also hosts a variety of other activities that can supplement your running, such as badminton, pingpong, horse riding and regular meets by RC clubs, taking their model cars or planes for a spin. It’s very much a family park, so bring a picnic basket and the kids, kick back after your session and relax in the shade.
