Sports Bars In KL: A Bar Above The Rest

The next best thing to watching a sporting event live in person is being holed up in a cosy bar, pub or tavern where you can watch the event on a flat screen while enjoying your favourite beverage, all in the comfort of an air-conditioned interior. Often the atmosphere in these places is just as boisterous as it is in the arena or stadium, and especially when it’s a mega event like the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017!

The Sticky Wicket

The Sticky Wicket
The first fully-fledged, cricket-themed restaurant and bar in Malaysia, The Sticky Wicket combines sport and British quintessential fare with panache. The cricket motifs come thick and heavy here, along with huge flat screens and rare memorabilia lining the walls. With cricket making its debut in KL2017, there really couldn’t be a more perfect place to watch the Gentlemen’s game so grab yourself a cod and chips, a pint of bitter and enjoy the innings!
Where: 34 G&M, Jalan Medan Setia 2,  Plaza Damansara, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur

With no less than 33 flat screens and a few large screen projectors occupying this Bangsar hangout, Gridiron has been designed with the sports connoisseur front and centre. No matter where you sit, you’ve got your eyes on a screen so you won’t miss a thing. This place gets packed on the regular, especially Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays where an all-day happy hour helps pull in the crowd. Be prepared to cheer with them while your favourite team or individual is up!

The Green Man

 The Green Man
A mainstay on Changkat Bukit Bintang, The Green Man has stood the test of time while other outlets on this busy street seem to change faster than a chameleon. Over the years this archetypal English tavern has gained an army of loyal customers who come for the pub-grub, homely atmosphere and friendly service. You’ll get all of that here in droves. Grab some friends, come for a long lazy lunch and watch the game while you’re at it. We recommend the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding or the bangers and mash!
