7 June 2017:
Pavilion KL Hosts the World’s First Hari Raya Lego Mosaic!

In conjunction with Hari Raya, premier shopping destination Pavilion KL has partnered with LEGO Malaysia to present a unique festive experience entitled ‘LET’S GO Raya’ at the mall’s Centre Court, open until 2 July.

At the heart of it lies the “Biggest Mosaic Made of ‘LEGO®’ Bricks,” as certified by the Malaysia Book of Records. Made up of over 87,000 pieces of LEGO bricks and measuring eight metres in length and three metres in width, it features some of the nation’s most recognised icons, and stands for unity and racial harmony.

Guest of Honour at the launch was Minister of Federal Territories YB Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor who officiated the proceedings along with Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd Puan Sri Cindy Lim. The Minister then took a tour of the brick-tastic grounds, and finally completed the colossal Mosaic with the help of children from special homes.

“Hari Raya is a special occasion where we celebrate togetherness and bonding with the community. This year, we revisit our traditions and culture and for the first time in Malaysia, we partner with LEGO to feature this amazing Hari Raya mosaic which promotes our country’s icons and heritage. This is a very good promotion for Malaysia, and Pavilion KL is proud to do our part for the nation,” said Puan Sri Cindy at the launch.

At the Level 2 Centre Court, shoppers can also discover the LEGO Kampung House Diorama, built out of 100,000 LEGO pieces and consisting of eight Kampung houses, three government service buildings, one hawker centre, and one Bazaar Centre in its neighbourhood.

As well as this – and for the very first time in history – LEGO Malaysia created four new Malaysian Mini-Builds specially for this campaign, featuring the wonders of Malaysian culture: the Bunga Raya, Kampung Village House, Wau, and Ketupat. Produced in limited quantities, shoppers can claim these unique souvenirs when they spend a minimum of RM300 on LEGO products at the Centre Court, or at the LEGO store at Pavilion Elite.
