Buto is a form of postmodern contemporary dance, founded by the two Buto masters from Japan, Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno in year 1959 after the World War II. Nyoba Kan Buto inherited the ugly and indecent performance, and attempted to convey the spirit of reformation. The elements of Yoga, Buddhism, QiGong, and contemporary dance were integrated to encounter the inner wisdom and mercy.
