#SayangMalaysia campaign continues with promotion of Malaysia’s vibrant fare
In conjunction with the #SayangMalaysia Social Media Campaign by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), a photography and short video contest themed #MyCuisine will be held until 28 February 2018.
In order to enter the contest, participants just have to send in a creative photo or short video centred on the uniqueness and diversity of the food and beverage of Malaysia’s multicultural society, uploaded via Instagram or Facebook.
Participants are required to upload a short video between 30 and 60 seconds long on Instagram and Facebook for the short video competition, and the videos should bear the hashtags #SayangMalaysia and #MyCuisine.
There are appealing prizes for the top three winners, as well as five consolation prizes. These include domestic flight tickets, stays at popular domestic destinations, theme park tickets and retail vouchers.
The #SayangMalaysia Social Media Campaign is part of MOTAC’s effort to promote Malaysia as a premier tourist destination while encouraging tourists both domestic and international to use social media to share their experiences of holidaying in Malaysia.

The public will get the chance to participate in six photography and short video competitions throughout 2018 under six sub-themes, including new subthemes #MyShopping and #MyHeritage which are as follows:
#MyCuisine – January to February
#MyDestination – March to April
#MyCulture – May to June
#MyShopping – July to August
#MyHeritage – September to October
#MyFamilyFun – November to December
