New stores and architectural concepts at the expanded retail destination
MFMA Development Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Mitsui Fudosan Co Ltd and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad has launched Phase 2 of Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang after its official opening in 2015.
“The launch of the expansion phase for Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang marks an important milestone for us as it demonstrates the progress we are making towards becoming the largest factory outlet mall in Southeast Asia,” said Akihiko Funaoka, Executive Managing Officer of Mitsui Fudosan.
Phase 2 of Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang which measures 16,530sqm includes 70 new stores over 9,800sqm of commercial space. Visitors can also expect more parking spaces as 420 new parking lots are added.
The new expansion phase also introduces three new architectural concepts, namely the River Walk, Sky Walk and Forest Walk which provide visitors a sensorial experience with the image of wilderness and a forest trail that connects the ‘river’ and ‘sky’.
Phase 2 of Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang also brings in brands such as Wacoal, Canterbury, Sacoor One, Ed Hardy, Vogue Bambini, Parkson Branding Outlet and more. Shiseido also opens the first The New Laboratory in Malaysia at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang.
Shoppers can look forward to more retail outlets at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang as Phase 3 will be completed in 2021.
“Phase 3, which is targeted to be completed by 2021 targets to house 250 stores on a total gross floor area of 73,000sqm, making Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang the largest in Southeast Asia,” added Funaoka.
