Malaysia Airports KULinary Dining Discovery Returns

Campaign highlights the best dining spots at KLIA and klia2

Back for the second year, the  KULinary dining discovery campaign is a Malaysia Airports signature event that sees the involvement of numerous F&B outlets located at KLIA and klia2. This year, the campaign offers a wider range of culinary options, with the participation of 25 restaurants that will be plating their best dishes for the occasion. 

Ranging from affordable to premium, these dining spots were among those ‘inspected’ by FriedChillies Media Sdn Bhd – an experienced outfit specialising in food review – to identify which ones give the patron a holistic dining experience to enjoy, no matter the price range or location within the airport. This notion mirrors Malaysia Airports’ vision of a good total airport experience.

“Food plays an important role in connecting and educating about the cultural richness of each community. Through this campaign, we saw great opportunity to connect with guests who may not be able to taste the diverse flavours intrinsic to both the local and international community,” said Nazli Aziz, Malaysia Airports Senior General Manager For Commercial Services.

“KULinary has raised the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) of Malaysia Airports as it shows the commitment of our retailers and outlets to not only provide top-notch facilities but also the guests’ overall experience. In 2016, the campaign had boosted traffic and sales performance at KLIA by 46.5%, and klia2 by 53.5%. It’s exciting to see the friendly rivalry among the participating restaurants and their talented chefs, supporting Malaysia Airports to collectively bring dining experience at the airports to another level,” he continued.

The campaign is expected to showcase some 1,000 F&B options, with menu choices starting from below RM10 onward. These consist of a wide spread of local and international delights, such as nasi ayam, assam prawns, beef rendang, rotisserie chicken, lamb rack, pizza and sago gula Melaka. Some of the notable favourites in the KULinary list include Coffee Club, Fukuya, Flight Club, Sama-sama Express, Bumbu Desa The Green Market and Bibik Heritage. 

Visitors should also look out for exciting activities such as a weekly Dine & Win contest, Food Sampling by 25 Winners throughout November 2017 on every weekend, and a weekly Facebook contest.
