Malaysia’s soldiers of drum and bass, Loops Collective, present two heavyweights of the scene this January, kicking of the year with a complete rinse out.
First up is one of the scene’s most respected individuals and the man behind Formation Records – now the longest running drum and bass label on the planet. DJ SS was there during the early hardcore days in the 90s when him and partner Eidris organised massive indoor parties, pulling in 6,000 people or more.
He’s responsible for legendary anthem such as Lighter and Black, has mentored some of the scene’s leading lights and runs the World of Drum&Bass – among the largest raves in the world with upwards of 10,000 people in attendance. Don’t miss this stalwart at Pisco this month.
Also stepping up to the plate are The Prototypes, a duo that made its mark in 2012 with breakout track Suffocate. They went on to release their debut album, City Of Gold, on Viper Recordings in 2015 and have since been devastating dance floors at venues and festivals around the world.
