Holographic-like ad-tech set to redefine retail displays
“Holograms” are on the cusp of going mainstream and breaking into the advertisement industry in Malaysia. The tech is here thanks to British company Kino-mo, which recently struck up a partnership with People n Rich Holdings to market the product here and the rest of Southeast Asia.
Hypervsn made waves at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas where it bagged second place at the ShowStoppers LaunchIt – an award event at CES for innovative start-ups. Digital media website Mashable named it the “future of retail displays”, offering a complete media planning solution for creating, displaying and managing unique 3D content.
The LED-based technology isn’t a hologram in the truest sense, but uses a hi-tech projection unit and proprietary management platform to “magically” float high resolution 3D visuals in thin air. Not a screen in sight. The result is striking and what’s more, the unit can be connected to wirelessly and managed remotely from a single location.
Easily utilised across industries, from healthcare and retail to advertising and events, its ability to be scalable is one of the leading advantages of Hypervsn.
The collaboration aims to drive stronger adoption in the market for this remarkable tech, which provides an immersive customer experience, while driving sales growth and creating high brand exposure.
“We are very excited to be announcing our partnership with Kino-mo today. In our 30 years in the business, we have seen the cycles of change but the one thing that has remained constant is innovation,” said People N Rich Holdings Director Tanya Steven.
“The Malaysian market is ripe for its acceptance of technological advancements and new solutions. Kino-mo being a leader in the field of technology offers an exciting new dimension in the ad-tech space. We are proud to announce our partnership as we evolve into the future with innovation as a pillar in our focus,” she added.
Images produced by Hypervsn are smooth and fluid, while the unit itself can be wall-mounted and plugged into standard outlets. Beyond that, it’s simply a matter of uploading your content and pressing a button. The ‘wow’ factor is instantaneous.
“Our aim is to help businesses make the most of visual advertising, apply pin-point targeting and break the mould with the cutting-edge Hypervsn solution. We are extremely thrilled to finally see Hypervsn reaching consumers in Malaysia,” said Kino-mo Southeast Asia Partner Vadzim Tsitou.
