Love Journey

There is something about the music of the early 1900s. It was such an exciting time for jazz and blues. Radio stations were mushrooming all over America and the likes of Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald were on the rise.

 

Now almost a century later, the recordings of these greats still sit on the shelves of music lovers all over the world. In Love Journey, you'll be transported back in time to a different era with music from the 1920s through to the 1950s.

 

Malaysia's jazz legend Michael Veerapen and entertainment personality Joanna Bessey will be performing standards like Love Me or Leave Me, Cry Me a River, I Loves You Porgy, St. Louis Blues and Bye Bye Blackbird. Audience will feel like they are in a bar even though they are in a theatre.

 

That's because we will be re-creating a similar intimate and cozy atmosphere complete with an actual bar and bartender! It will be a fantastic, new experience for music lovers where they can sit back and immerse themselves in the wonderful music and not be distracted by the din of a noisy bar.
