The 3rd Islamic Venture Capital & Private Equity Conference 2010

Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) and the Malaysian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (MVCA), are organising the ‘3rd Islamic Venture Capital and Private Equity Conference with the theme - ‘Islamic Venture Capital and Private Equity Post Credit Crunch: Road map for New Investment Landscape'. The conference is scheduled to be held on 28 – 29 September 2010 at Hotel Nikko, Kuala Lumpur.

 

For two consecutive years, IVCPEC has been very successful in deliberating the strategic importance and future of Islamic VC and PE. The response from participants as well as speakers who attended the conference agreed that it was well organized and focused on subject matter, providing useful insights on the practical issues and to some extent, the solutions to challenges facing the Islamic finance industry. The theme selected for this year i.e. ‘Islamic Venture Capital and Private Equity Post Credit Crunch: Road map for New Investment Landscape’ will focus on ways to develop a sustainable Islamic VE and PE industry and analyze the vast opportunities lying ahead.

 

This year, the conference will review government agencies roles, regulatory and Shariah framework, pension funds and banking, portfolio acquisitions, human and talent development for Islamic VC and PE industry as well as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and transparency.
