Leftover cannons, an execution block, a Royal Mausoleum, a well preserved fort and a poisoned well bring the dramatic events that took place at Bukit Malawati to life, even now, more than 200 years after the fort was built by the second Sultan of Selangor. Set high above the cliffs overlooking the Straits of Malacca, the fort was built to repel attacks from the invading Dutch and then the British.
