1908. SEE and ZHUNG run a Hokkien Mee stall in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur, and they always face extortion from the colonial police and the Chinese gangs. Although they have been married for two years, Zhung has never allowed See to touch her, let alone have sex. Even weirder, every morning See would wake up feeling sore all over his body for no reason.

One day, See finds a Chinese seal in her pillow and gambles it away. Knowing about it, Zhung angrily moves out of their room to stay with her cousin, TAN KUN, to See’s frustration.

To impress Zhung, See recruits his neighbors to form the Self-Strengthening Society to protect themselves from the gangs. In the hilarious process, See befriends a mysterious, beautiful kungfu expert who believes that he is a descendant of the missing Jian Wen Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Meanwhile, Zhung and Tan Kun start to reveal their superb kungfu skills…

Soon, skilled fighters from Japan and the Qing Government start to converge in Kuala Lumpur and pursue See for a treasure map that he doesn’t know he has. Can See find out what has really happened and finally reconcile with his wife?
