Part of the Kuala Lumpur Biennale 2017, Awakening of Love contains 53 exhibits that touch on “various inner qualities of humankind through this parent body that nurtures life, and the female body which is also the symbol of humankind.” The collection is a diverse one, ranging from multiple eras, culture and mediums, and is placed under four sections: Myth and Legends, Motherly love, Devotion of Women, and Individual Uniqueness.

The exhibition will also feature the works of revered artists, such as expert of Chinese ink, Zhang Daqian; surrealist painter Salvador Dali; contemporary American sculptor, Arman; and US-based Chinese oil painter Li Zijian.
