“The Celebrities Club was a creative proposal brought to us by C-3 Entertainment’s Kenn Yam,” says Liew Sip Chon, president & CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia, referring to the Klang Valley’s latest and greatest club, which was recently opened in Mont Kiara’s SOHO KL complex. “We liked the idea that the club plays different flavours of international music – jazz, R&B, soul, pop, rock and across languages. This place will enhance our move towards making Canon a more lifestyle brand.”

Adjoining the club is the Canon Lifestyle Boutique, which features the full range of Canon products. This partnership with The Celebrities Club helps Canon promote its support of the arts and music scene. “The Canon Concept Store, which inspired the The Celebrities Club, is the only consumer imaging outlet with a boutique feel,” says Ning Baizura, recording artist and executive director of C-3 Entertainment, the company behind The Celebrities Club.

“The Celebrities Club was inspired by Canon,” says Kenn Yam, managing director of C-3 Entertainment. “The play of images, colours, style and substance is something that we derived from the Canon brand essence. Hence we proposed establishing an adjoining starry outlet.”

Upon entering The Celebrities Club, patrons encounter a plush interior of soft lighting, multi-level booth seats and small round table tables reminiscent of old-school jazz clubs. There is also a comprehensive dining menu offering contemporary cuisine, as well as an exclusive clothing line by renowned local designer Jonathan Cheng. The highceiling acoustic hall has a cosy stage equipped with JBL Project Everest (The Celebrities Club is the first in Asia to install this high-end system in an indoor space), Yamaha audio mixer and digital grand piano, and AKG microphone. “The hall is a stage for artistes with real calibre as the sound system picks up every tiny detail,” says Yam.

“We designed The Celebrities Club with a few main elements in mind: cosiness, an appealing menu of Western cuisine, encouraging local musical talent, and providing a new hangout for urban Malaysians living in the Klang Valley. The branding of this club will be as an exclusive place to be, and in line with its name you will be seeing plenty of celebrities in your midst,” says Yam.

With its smart looks, clever design and futuristic technology, it seems that just like Canon’s products, The Celebrities Club will be ‘Delighting You Always.’
