New city ticketing office at KL Sentral makes air travel for Malindo Air customers easier than ever

Malindo Air has opened a new KL Sentral city ticketing office check-in service to facilitate travellers who will now be able to check-in at the airline’s counter at the KLIA Ekspres Departure Hall. This can be done up to three hours before the flight and customer’s luggage can be checked through to their final destination straight from KL Sentral.

Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia, YB Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi officiated the new service, and said at the launch: “With a non-stop airport transfer from the city to KLIA via the KLIA Ekspres, it is definitely another convenient travel experience, hassle-free without the checked-in baggage in tow, and bypass check-in queues at KLIA. This convenience that we provide to travellers will certainly help woo tourists to our country.”

Also present at the launch was Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Muthy who noted that: “The city check-in service that we are offering is another milestone for us as we build a stronghold in Kuala Lumpur. The city centre check-in service at KL Sentral will strategically enhance the travel experience and improve our product offering to our ever growing customer base.”

He also added that the KL Sentral Ticketing Office is the third city ticketing office after the offices in Medan Tuanku and NU Sentral, and boasts 16 ticket counters with a capacity to serve 20,000 customers a month.

Meanwhile, Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd Executive Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh elaborated on the exemplary record of KL’s in-town check-in services, and the state-of-the-art security features introduced last year to help keep luggage safe and secure.

These additional trains will reduce congestion, especially during peak periods, and greatly increase service reliability as well as passenger comfort with better air-conditioning systems, added handrails and more spacious legroom.
